A lot of the turf calls we get are for replacing builder-grade installs that failed after 3 to 5 years. Common culprits: inadequate base depth, wrong infill, no weed barrier, or perimeter nails that backed out. The turf itself is rarely the problem — the system underneath is.

We tear out the failed install, haul it off, and rebuild from the subgrade up using the spec we would have started with originally. The new install carries our full written workmanship warranty plus the manufacturer's product warranty.

My existing turf is only 5 years old — should I really replace it?
It depends on the failure mode. If the fibers are bleached, matted flat, or the backing is splitting, replacement is the better long-term value. If the base and turf are sound but seams or edges are failing, a repair is usually enough.
