Playground turf is engineered differently from lawn or pet turf. The defining spec is fall attenuation — how much shock the surface absorbs in a critical fall. We install systems certified to ASTM F1292 with shock pads sized to the rated fall height of your playground equipment, typically 4 to 12 feet.
Our standard playground build uses a compacted base, a closed-cell foam shock pad rated for the fall height, and IPEMA-certified turf bonded to the pad. The surface is ADA-accessible (wheelchair friendly), drains through the backing, and stays cool enough to use through Houston summers when paired with the right infill or a heat-reflective fiber.
We work with schools, daycares, churches, municipal parks, and homeowners on residential play sets. All installs come with documentation of the certified fall height rating for your insurance carrier or licensing body.
